Jane is a Registered Psychologist who has been practicing since 2006. She has worked with clients aged from six years old through to geriatric populations in the treatment of Depressive Disorders; Anxiety Disorders; Bipolar Disorders; Schizophrenia and Schizoaffective Disorder; Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder; Trauma- and Stressor-Related Disorders; Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention-Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder; Gender Dysphoria; Substance-Related and Addictive Disorders, and Personality Disorders.
Jane has worked across education, public mental health, forensic, occupational rehabilitation, non-profit organisations and private practice settings. She adopts an integrated approach to assessment and treatment, and applies this to her individual and couples work. She draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Schema Therapy (ST) in a considered and flexible way to tailor therapy to meet the needs of her clients.
Jane is a warm, friendly, safe, non-judgmental and open-minded Psychologist who provides a space where clients feel comfortable and cared for. She has a refreshing sense of humour and honest style of therapy. She is a member of the LGBTIQA+ community and has a passion for working with clients also from this community, including individuals and couples. She is also an animal lover and is hoping to become an animal assisted therapist so that clients have the opportunity to benefit from the presence of Wilson, one of her rescue dogs.
Jane is available to see children (aged 6+), adolescents and adults on Monday evenings between 6pm and 9pm.
