Psychology Services
Individual Sessions
Individual consultations are usually around 50 minutes. If you have a mental health care plan from your GP, you will be reimbursed the majority of the fee from Medicare for each consultation session for up to ten sessions per calendar year. Alternatively you may be able to claim reimbursements from your private health insurer. Our fees are set well below the Australian Psychological Society recommended rates.

Couple Sessions
Couple and Family consultation are usually 50-120 minutes. Medicare does not cover these sessions, however you may be able to claim reimbursements from your private health insurer. Fees will vary depending on the length of the session and it is usually an expectation that each participant will pay their share of the session fee so that both parties are investing equally in the process financially.

Cancellation/Non Attendance Policy
Like most health related businesses (like dental, physiotherapy or medical practices) clinical psychologists charge a fee for late notice cancellation, reschedules or non-attendance. Late Cancellation/Non-Attendance fees are currently $130.
Psychological Testing
We may sometimes suggest using various measures or tests to assist with diagnosis, monitoring of symptoms or to measure effectiveness of therapy. Many of the tests that we use are free of charge, however some of the more complex or time consuming tests cost money for us to use and therefore have a fee attached to them. You will always be told the fee for any testing up front and have the choice about whether to go ahead with testing or not. If you would like a report from any testing completed, you are able to request one and will be advised of any cost involved before a report is created.
Reports/Letters
Psychological Reports, Letters of Support or Opinion and other such tasks are provided by negotiation only and are billed at the current APS recommended rates in 15 minute blocks. When a request is made to provide a report or letter the psychologist will require enough information from the requester in order to make a decision about accepting the work. Once the scope is clear and if the work is accepted, a quote will be provided for the requested work to be completed. Written confirmation of fee acceptance is required prior to any work being completed. Requests that are urgent or require the work to be completed out of hours will incur an additional surcharge of 25%.
